A Note from Dori Sullivan, CWS President
I’m not sure how many of our members of CWS were affected by the wrath of Hurricane Helene and if our future plans for a Wildlife Park “Show and Sale” in November will happen. One day at a time. Please keep all those in need in your thoughts and prayers.
Linda Wokoun will be our guest artist in November. Amazing colors and theory – her paintings are masterful. Joyce Cusick is “hosting” her workshop and we hope you’ll sign up right away.
We also have our Holiday Luncheon in a few short months. Tom Jones will bring his paintings and stories to life during the luncheon demo, followed by a two day workshop at Whispering Pines. Marjorie Banish has the reservation list and will help you with your menu choice at our meeting Friday.
Vicki Pritchard is planning on her first “Plein Air” outing with CWS in Inverness at the Wallace Brooks Park near Lake Henderson. I hope the weather is great and on Oct. 15th we’ll have a fun morning. Details will be reported at the Business Meeting Friday Oct. 11th.
Congratulations to Polly Boston, Lionel Sanchez and Kim Shields who had entries in the FWS Convention and exhibit. I was privileged to attend the convention and spend 4 days with Stephen Quiller. I was a “sponge” absorbing this artists amazing knowledge. Next year FWS Convention will be in Orlando and I hope many of us from CWS will be able to attend. It’s an amazing event.
